Before I began learning the flute, my life was filled with responsibilities, routines, and constant thoughts. I was moving forward, but somewhere within, I felt that something was missing—something that could bring peace to my heart and help me reconnect with myself.
Since childhood, I had dreamed of learning the flute. Its beautiful, soothing sound always drew me in, but a busy schedule kept pushing that dream aside. I was also searching for the right Guru. Then, within a single year, two of my friends gifted me flutes. I took it as a signal. Perhaps this was the moment to stop delaying and finally begin.
My first struggle was simply making time. With so much already happening in life, I had to motivate myself and believe that I could do it. Learning also required patience and perseverance. Each practice session became a quiet choice to return to something I truly wanted, regardless of how full my schedule seemed.
A turning point came when I learned to handle the straight flute and began producing a better tune. Then came Sa Re Ga Ma. It was a simple sequence, but hearing those notes emerge from the flute felt deeply meaningful. Each clearer sound encouraged me to try once more, then once again, always wanting to make it a little better.
The flute proved something important to me: if we truly want to do something, we can make time for it, irrespective of our schedule. Through the process, I found perseverance, internal peace, patience, and relief. I also discovered a growing hunger to learn more. That spirit has reached beyond practice, strengthening my determination not to give up and helping me trust the journey.
Today, the flute feels like something I was meant to do. It has given me a beautiful sense of purpose and a way to return to myself. I know there is still much to learn, but that no longer feels overwhelming. Each note is another step forward, and each new attempt carries hope—the hope that with patience, trust, and one more try, I can keep becoming better.
