Before the flute entered my life, I was already an artiste and singer. Music had always interested me deeply, but because of family difficulties, I was not able to continue learning as a vocalist. Still, the desire to learn and remain connected with music stayed within me.
One day, I saw Harsh Sir’s advertisement on Facebook. There was no elaborate plan behind my decision. I simply thought of learning the flute because of my strong interest in music. At the same time, I had a serious doubt: because I was older, I wondered whether I would really be able to play the flute.
That doubt began to fade once I started learning. I understood that, with practice, I could play well. My experience as a singer also helped me greatly. I could often recognise when a swara or taal went wrong, and that musical understanding guided me as I practised the flute. Each small improvement gave me more confidence to continue.
The flute gradually brought changes within me and in my daily life. It gave me a new routine and helped improve my health to some extent. More importantly, it allowed me to return to the musical path that I had once been unable to continue. What had started simply after seeing an advertisement became a meaningful new chapter for me.
Today, I love the flute deeply. I see it as my second journey in music—a way to continue what circumstances had interrupted earlier. I am very thankful to Harsh Sir for giving me confidence and helping me continue my musical journey through the flute. Now, when I practise, I feel that music has opened its door to me again.
